During and in between all tutoring sessions, our basic approach in revealing the personalized areas of focus for each individual student is as follows:
Evaluation
- Establish priorities for upcoming homework and exams
- Discover deficient skills and unhealthy study habits
- Identify elements in student's lifestyle that threaten success
- Determine student's independent work ethic
Remediation
- Ask/answer student questions
- Complete current and old homework assignments
- Prepare for upcoming exams
- Review old exams
- Teach new skills and review prerequisite skills
- Improve student's study habits
Validation
- Monitor progress in class
- Assign practice problem sets to ensure retention
At CorrectClass, we believe that there are only two reasons for students failing to learn any particular skill: Either they have given up in trying to find answers to their own questions or students are unable to articulate the questions that they should be asking themselves. With our method, we ensure that all of the right questions get asked and answered so that our students can ultimately achieve understanding.
CorrectClass specializes in offering experienced door-to-door math tutoring, however, we aim to achieve a much larger goal. With our web service (currently in development), CorrectClass will be the first to truly integrate web technology with formalized education—starting with math.
Considering its cumulative and logical nature, math is a prime candidate for substantial amounts of automation in both the creation and distribution of course content. By organizing math skills and problems in a unique information network of digital content, students will be able to find answers to their own questions like never before. In any current math course, a closed set of mathematical knowledge and skills is used to solve all problems within that course. Our innovative interface and user-modifiable digital math content is designed to provide explanations to answer virtually any question a student might have in as little or as much detail as needed.
While using Massachusetts Curriculum Framework for Mathematics as an absolute minimum in the creation of our content, CorrectClass will provide the missing link that teachers and students all over the world have been waiting for.
In 2005, I graduated from Northeastern in Boston with a double major in Computer Science and Math. As founder of CorrectClass, I am pursuing interests that go as far back as some of my first memories as a child. Even though I've had an interest in math for as long as I can remember, I fell in love with teaching it as well during my sophomore year of high school.
In 1998 I took on my first math tutoring student as a favor for a family friend that was struggling. With continued work, I realized that tutoring was not only something I loved doing, but my student was also noticeably improving. Over the years I've now helped many students get the grades and SAT scores they need to get into the college of their choice. After watching many students graduate and go off to college, I eagerly anticipate the chance to build new relationships with students and their families as a tutor and a trusted friend.
Jason was a huge help with my Calculus 2 class in college. He always took as much time as needed to explain a concept or a problem. Also, Jason made himself available as much as possible. I could ask questions whenever they came up, over the phone or using email. He always gave a concise and clear explanation.

Jason's tutoring helped me from failing out of college. He was able to help me learn the material for Calculus 2 and Data Structures, my programming course. The best thing about his program is that it he personalizes the way he teaches to fit the needs of the student, without his help I would still be struggling to get a D in my courses.

Jason was my son’s math tutor for the past two years. Working on a weekly basis, Jason understood how Eric worked and was able to teach him in a way to make Eric think about the math problems; not just solve them. Eric gained confidence; he made the honor roll and I was extremely impressed with Jason’s patience, time management and kindness. He became part of the family and was such a good role model. I highly recommend Jason to become your child’s tutor! |

My son understands Math concepts but struggled on tests for quite some time. He began working with Jason at the end of his sophomore year and continued through his Junior year. Jason helped my son gain the skills to go into tests with confidence and his scores improved. When it came time to hire an SAT Math tutor, we knew Jason would be the perfect person because he broke things down and taught my son how to take the test. My daughter has also used Jason's tutoring services when she has had difficulty understanding concepts. Jason has always been extremely professional yet he always puts his students at ease. He also is reliable, punctual, flexible and does not waste time. I love that he would tell my kids that they needed to do their HW before he arrived so that he wasn't wasting my money! I recommend Jason highly!

I am writing to explain the profound effect that Jason Curley had on my three son's education and confidence with regard to math. From sophomore Geometry thru senior Pre-Calculus, Jason was able to address each of my son's learning styles such that they were able to perform at level in their academic setting. He also prepped them for the PSAT and SAT exams. Jason helped my boys and myself to navigate an arcane pubic school math department and some really bad teachers. Thank you Jason!

Jason tutored my son Tyler when he was a sophomore in high school. At the time my son was struggling through math and lacked confidence. After spending a few sessions with Jason we noticed his confidence improved greatly and we believe that Jason provided him with the skills and reassurance he needed to succeed. We saw improvement in his homework, quiz and test grades. Jason was punctual, very flexible and was always willing to accommodate our hectic schedule.

My experience with Jason was one of the best throughout my entire high school career. Not only did he help me succeed in a subject that was difficult for me, he gave me the confidence and the drive to challenge myself in other areas of my life. Now that I am in college I can further appreciate everything Jason's tutoring has done for me. I have been able to maintain a high 3 GPA in all of my classes, especially the classes Jason tutored me in. I do not think my entry into college would have been as successful if it were not for Jason.
